A set of three workshops exploring nature and printing techniques
A three week workshop delivered by Tara Dean a local artist where you will create a collection of cards or prints inspired by the surroundings at Pentredŵr.
This will be done through drawings, mono print drawings and polystyrene printing plates creating a collection of relief printstre.
It would be beneficial to attend all three, although not essential.
The sessions will involve the following:
July 2nd - Having a look and seeing what we can find, perhaps going for a short walk around Pentredwr, taking notes, rubbings or picking things up. Back in the community centre we will explore different materials and mark making, finding ways of creating patterns together.
July 9th - Taking our drawings and finds to make designs - Printmaking in one colour and experimenting with printing plates, perhaps direct printing from finds or using these to create mono print drawing and mark making.
July 16th - Combining the processes and making a two colour print, creating a collage of drawings and print collected in a folded book to describe the story.
